New Year Blessings ceremony & Tsunami Commemoration Event
Tisarana Sri Lankan Buddhist Association in Norway organized a traditional New Year blessings ceremony and Tsunami commemoration event in Oslo, Sunday 20th January 2008.
The ceremony was conducted under the guidance of Ven. Kirindigalle Dhammaratana Maha Nayaka Thero, Chief Sanghanayaka to Scandinavia. Monks from the Thai and Vietnam temples in Norway, Norwegians, Vietnamese and Thai friends who supported us under the Tsunami catastrophe, Sri Lankan Ambassador to Norway H.E. Esala Weerakoon, Norwegian special envoy to Sri Lanka Mr. Jon Hanssen-Bauer and president of Norwegian Buddhist Federation Mr. Egil Lothe attended to the ceremony.
